MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2024 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 16 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE – Kansas City Chiefs
A first-round draft pick a year ago, Anudike-Uzomah carded two tackles among his 12 defensive snaps to help Kansas City pick up a 30-27 walk-off win at Carolina. The Chiefs improved to 10-1 on the season, and they host Las Vegas on Friday afternoon.
Cooper Beebe, OL – Dallas Cowboys
A third-round pick in this year's draft, Beebe registered his 11th start and was in for all 66 offensive snaps to help the Cowboys earn a 34-26 win at Washington. The victory snapped a five-game losing streak as Dallas is now 4-7 this year and hosts the New York Giants on Thursday afternoon.
JuJu Brents, CB – Indianapolis Colts
Brents, a second-round selection last year, was placed on injured reserve on September 10. Indianapolis lost at home to Detroit, 24-6, to drop to 5-7 this season, and the Colts play at New England on Sunday.
Khalid Duke, OLB – Tennessee Titans
Duke, an undrafted rookie free agent, is on the Titans' practice squad. Tennessee picked up a 32-27 win at Houston to improve to 3-8 this season, and the Titans play at Washington on Sunday.
Josh Hayes, DB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
A sixth-round selection in last year's draft, Hayes had a tackle on kickoff coverage among his 14 special teams plays, helping the Buccaneers defeat the New York Giants, 30-7. Tampa Bay halted a four-game losing streak and improved to 5-6 this year, and the Bucs are at Carolina on Sunday.
Malik Knowles, WR – Green Bay Packers
Knowles, who is in his second year in the NFL, is on the Packers' practice squad. Green Bay defeated San Francisco, 38-10, to improve to 8-3 this season, and the Packers host Miami on Thursday night.
KT Leveston, OL – Los Angeles Rams
Leveston, a seventh-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Rams, was placed on injured reserve on August 27 but was designated to return to practice last Friday. The Rams fell to 5-6 this season after a 37-20 home loss to Philadelphia on Sunday night, and LA plays at New Orleans on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett, who is in his 10th NFL season – all with Seattle – registered two catches for 20 yards among his 41 offensive snaps, helping the Seahawks pick up a 16-6 home win over Arizona. Winners of two in a row, Seattle is now 6-5 this season, and they play at the New York Jets on Sunday.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Commanders
Lucas, a 10th-year pro, saw time on five special teams plays during Washington's 34-26 home loss to Dallas. The Commanders suffered their third-straight defeat to fall to 7-5 this season, and they host Tennessee on Sunday.
Adrian Martinez, QB – New York Jets
Martinez, who is on the practice squad, and the New York Jets were off last week. The 3-8 Jets come out of their off week by hosting Seattle on Sunday.
D.J. Reed, DB – New York Jets
Reed, who has made 65 career starts, and the New York Jets had their bye last week. New York, which is 3-8 this season, hosts Seattle on Sunday.
Dalton Risner, OL – Minnesota Vikings
In his second season in Minnesota, Risner made his second start of the season and 75th of his career as he was in for all 71 offensive snaps during the Vikings' 30-27 win at Chicago. It was Minnesota's fourth-straight win to improve to 9-2 this season prior to hosting Arizona on Sunday.
Ben Sinnott, TE – Washington Commanders
Sinnott, a second-round selection in this year's draft, was in for 21 offensive snaps and 15 special teams plays during Washington's 34-26 home loss to Dallas. It was the Commanders' third-straight loss as they are now 7-5 this season before hosting Tennessee on Sunday.
Skylar Thompson, QB – Miami Dolphins
In his third season in Miami, Thompson was in for two offensive snaps during Miami's 34-15 home win over New England. The Dolphins won their third-straight game to improve to 5-6 this season, and they play at Green Bay on Thursday night.
Deuce Vaughn, RB – Dallas Cowboys
Vaughn, a sixth-round selection last year, was inactive for Dallas' 34-26 win at Washington. The Cowboys, who snapped a five-game losing streak, improved to 4-7 this season prior to hosting the New York Giants on Thursday afternoon.
Cody Whitehair, OL – Las Vegas Raiders
Whitehair, who is in his ninth NFL season and first in Las Vegas, was inactive for the Raiders' 29-19 home loss to Denver. It was Las Vegas' seventh-straight loss to fall to 2-9 this season before playing at Kansas City on Friday afternoon.
