MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2024 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 16 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE – Kansas City Chiefs
Anudike-Uzomah, a first-round draft pick a year ago, saw time on nine defensive snaps during Kansas City's 19-17 win over Las Vegas last Friday. The Chiefs clinched a playoff spot with the win, which improved their record to 11-1 prior to hosting the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night.
Cooper Beebe, OL – Dallas Cowboys
Beebe, a third-round pick in this year's draft, carded his 12th start and was in for all 76 offensive snaps during the Cowboys' 27-20 Thanksgiving home victory over the New York Giants. Dallas has won each of the last two games following a five-game losing streak as the Cowboys are now 5-7 this year prior to hosting Cincinnati on Monday night.
JuJu Brents, CB – Indianapolis Colts
A second-round selection last year, Brents was placed on injured reserve on September 10. The Colts earned a 25-24 win at New England to improve to 6-7 this year prior to their bye week.
Khalid Duke, OLB – Tennessee Titans
An undrafted rookie free agent, Duke is on Tennessee's practice squad. The Titans lost at Washington, 42-19, to drop to 3-9 this season, and they host Jacksonville on Sunday.
Josh Hayes, DB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Hayes, a sixth-round selection in last year's draft, carded a tackle on punt coverage among his 27 special teams plays as the Buccaneers won in overtime at Carolina, 26-23. Tampa Bay is now 6-6 this year and hosts Las Vegas on Sunday.
KT Leveston, OL – Los Angeles Rams
A seventh-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Rams, was placed on injured reserve on August 27 but was designated to return to practice two weeks ago. Los Angeles picked up a 21-14 road win at New Orleans as the Rams improved to 6-6 before a home game against Buffalo on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
In his 10th NFL season – all with Seattle – Lockett had three catches for 16 yards among his 30 offensive snaps during the Seahawks' 26-21 win at the New York Jets. Winners of three-straight games, Seattle is now 7-5 this year and plays at Arizona on Sunday.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Commanders
A 10th-year pro, Lucas started at right tackle and saw time on all 83 offensive snaps to help Washington earn a 42-19 home victory over Tennessee. Going into their bye week, the Commanders are now 8-5 this season.
Adrian Martinez, QB – New York Jets
Martinez is on the Jets' practice squad. New York suffered a 26-21 home loss to Seattle to drop to 3-9 on the year, and the Jets are at Miami on Sunday.
D.J. Reed, DB – New York Jets
Making his 66th-career start, Reed tied for team-high honors with seven tackles and also broke up a pass during New York's 26-21 home loss to Seattle. The Jets are now 3-9 this season, and they play at Miami on Sunday.
Dalton Risner, OL – Minnesota Vikings
Risner, who is in his second season in Minnesota, made his third start of the season and 76th of his career as he was in for all 53 offensive snaps during the Vikings' 23-22 last-minute home victory over Arizona. Winners of five-straight games, Minnesota is now 10-2 this year and hosts Atlanta on Sunday.
Ben Sinnott, TE – Washington Commanders
A second-round selection in this year's draft, Sinnott made one catch for three yards among his 24 offensive snaps in addition to seeing time on five special teams plays, helping the Commanders earn a 42-19 home win over Tennessee. Washington is now 8-5 this season as it enters its bye week.
Skylar Thompson, QB – Miami Dolphins
Thompson, who is in his third season in Miami, was active but did not play in Miami's 30-17 loss at Green Bay on Thanksgiving night. The setback dropped the Dolphins to a 5-7 record this season, and they host the New York Jets on Sunday.
Deuce Vaughn, RB – Dallas Cowboys
A sixth-round selection last year, Vaughn was inactive for the Cowboys' 27-20 home win over the New York Giants on Thanksgiving. It was Dallas' second-straight win to improve to 5-7 this season, and the Cowboys host Cincinnati on Monday night.
Cody Whitehair, OL – Las Vegas Raiders
In his ninth NFL season and first in Las Vegas, Whitehair was inactive for the Raiders' 19-17 loss at Kansas City on Friday. It was Las Vegas' eighth-straight defeat as the Raiders dropped to 2-10 this season prior to a game at Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Russ Yeast, S – Houston Texans
Yeast was signed to the Texans' practice squad last Wednesday prior to Houston's 23-20 win at Jacksonville. The Texans are 8-5 this season as they enter their bye week.
