Kimball Construction to Alter Basketball Traffic
Feb 19, 2024 | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Athletics
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Beginning today (February 19), Kimball Avenue will be closed between Grain Science Way/Tex Winter Drive to the intersection of Denison Avenue as construction of Phase XI of the North Campus Corridor project gets underway.
Â
The construction will alter how K-State men's and women's basketball fans enter and exit the east parking lots at Bramlage Coliseum, notably if fans are arriving from the east side of Manhattan. The first game to be affected by the construction will be Wednesday's women's matchup against West Virginia.
Â
PREGAME entry into parking Lots E1, E2 and E3 will be open as normal from Kimball Avenue but only accessible for eastbound traffic. Fans arriving at a game from the east side of the city on Tuttle Creek Boulevard should exit at Marlatt Avenue then turn south at College Avenue to reach Kimball. Fans can also detour around the construction by connecting to Claflin Road south of Bramlage Coliseum and rejoining Kimball Avenue via College Avenue.
