Oct 06, 2025 | Football

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State head coach Chris Klieman and select players met with members of the media on Monday inside the Vanier Family Football Complex to preview Saturday's game against TCU. Links to video and audio of Klieman's press conference – which was streamed live on ESPN+ – are above, while a transcript of Klieman's opening statement is below.

CHRIS KLIEMAN, HEAD COACH
Opening Statement…
"Good afternoon, everyone. Obviously, the margin for error is really small in the Big 12. We played well at times on Saturday, but we didn't play well enough – especially at critical times – to come out of there with the win. The game went the way we needed it to go with our time of possession and play count in the fourth quarter on both sides of the ball. I thought the kick return was important for them to get it out to the 35-yard line. We missed opportunities that we had. So, we'll see the guys today. We visited as a staff yesterday. We have to do some things schematically to help ourselves a little bit and shore some things up. You have to stay the course, bottom line. You have to keep fighting, keep battling and get ready for a really good TCU team coming here."
