MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State head women's golf coach Stew Burke announced Wednesday the signing of English native Mia Ingham, who will join the Wildcats in time for the 2026-27 season.
"We are delighted to have Mia joining us next fall," Burke said. "From the beginning of the recruiting process, she showed the desire to improve and the work ethic we are looking for at K-State. This summer, she displayed her true ability with some impressive finishes on the national stage, which culminated with a selection for the English Girls National Team. A long, straight driver of the ball and excellent ball striker, Mia will be a great addition to what we are building here in Manhattan. Our ladies and Coach Rinko (Mitsunaga) are as excited as I am to have her join us next fall."
Ranked No. 45 in the U18 European Golf Rankings, Ingham was on the winning team of the English Women's County finals, while she earned top-five finishes in the Rock Golf League European Championship (third) and England Girls Open (fourth). Her performance in the latter event was highlighted by a final-round total of 8-under par 65 as she posted a 72-hole score of 11-under par 281. Additionally, Ingham finished in 15th place at the St. Rule Women's International Amateur held at St. Andrew's Golf Club thanks to a pair of under-par rounds.
Kansas State finished the fall season ranked No. 27 in the National Collegiate Golf Rankings. The Wildcats begin their spring campaign with the Puerto Rico Classic, February 1-3, held at Grand Reserve GC in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
