MANHATTAN, Kan. -- No. 10 seed Kansas State will play 15-seed Arizona State in the opening round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at 6 p.m., CT on Tuesday night at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. The game will air on ESPN+.
K-State (15-16, 9-11 Big 12) split its 2 matchups with Arizona State (13-18, 4-16 Big 12), earning a 71-70 win in Tempe on Feb. 4 before the Sun Devils posted a 66-54 win at Bramlage Coliseum on Feb. 23. Both teams lost their regular-season finales to top-10 opponents at home on Saturday, as the Wildcats lost to No. 10/10 Iowa State, 73-57, while the Sun Devils dropped a 85-57 decision to No. 9/9 Texas Tech.
This will be the first meeting in the conference tournament for the schools, as ASU is in its first season in the Big 12. Overall, the Sun Devils own a 6-5 edge on the all-time series, including 2-1 in neutral site matchups.
The winner of Tuesday's game will play 7-seed Baylor (18-13, 10-10 Big 12) on Wednesday night at 6 p.m., CT, also on ESPN+.
