Navarro, van Beek Named to All-American Scholars Team
Jun 30, 2025 | Women's Golf
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women's golfers Alenka Navarro and Noa van Beek were honored for their work in the classroom this past season for a second time as they were named to the 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholars Team, the organization announced Monday.
Â
van Beek picked up the honor for a third-straight season, while Navarro was honored for the second time in her career.
Â
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of women's golfers. To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the season and have played in 50% of the program's regularly-scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
Â
Both players were named Academic All-District performers by College Sports Communicators earlier this month with Academic All-Big 12 honors forthcoming.
Â
Navarro, a native of Mexico City, competed in 12 events, putting together a 73.58 scoring average to rank sixth in program history. The sophomore earned one top-five finish – a tie for third place at the season-opening Powercat Invitational – and five other top-20 showings. She saved her best golf for the end of the season as she tied her career-low 54-hole score with a 216 at the NCAA Lexington Regional before tying for 14th place at the NCAA Championship with a 72-hole score of 2-under par 286.
Â
A product of Oene, Netherlands, van Beek was a member of the scoring lineup for all 13 events, producing a 74.29 scoring average in addition to a top-10 and three top-20 finishes. Her best finish of the season was a tie for seventh place at the MountainView Collegiate after recording a 54-hole score of 3-over par 219. She tied her career-low 54-hole score of 213 at the Westbrook Invitational, helping the Wildcats tie the school record for lowest team 54-hole score (840).
