MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2025 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 18 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE – Kansas City Chiefs
In his third NFL season, Anudike-Uzomah was placed on season-ending injured reserve prior to the beginning of the season. The Chiefs lost their season opener to the Los Angeles Chargers, 27-21, last Friday in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Kansas City hosts Philadelphia on Sunday.
Cooper Beebe, OL – Dallas Cowboys
Beebe made his 17th-consecutive start and was in for all 61 offensive snaps in Dallas' 24-20 season-opening loss at Philadelphia on Thursday night. Dallas hosts the New York Giants in their home opener on Sunday.
JuJu Brents, CB – Miami Dolphins
Entering his third NFL season, Brents was claimed off waivers by Miami prior to the start of the regular season. He did not play in the Dolphins' 33-8 loss at Indianapolis, and Miami hosts New England on Sunday.
DJ Giddens, RB – Indianapolis Colts
Playing in his first-career NFL game, Giddens rushed 12 times for 41 yards among his 18 snaps as he helped the Colts pick up a 33-8 season-opening victory over Miami. Indianapolis remains at home to host Denver on Sunday.
Josh Hayes, DB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Beginning his third season in the NFL, Hayes saw time on 16 special teams plays to help the Buccaneers pick up a season-opening 23-20 victory at Atlanta. Tampa Bay remains on the road as it plays at Houston on Monday night.
Timmy Horne, DT – Tennessee Titans
Horne, who is in his fourth NFL season, is on the Tennessee practice squad. The Titans dropped a 20-12 decision in the season opener at Denver, and they have their home opener on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
Easton Kilty, OL – New Orleans Saints
Kilty, who signed with New Orleans as a rookie free agent, is on the Saints' practice squad. New Orleans began the season with a 20-13 home loss to Arizona, and it hosts San Francisco on Sunday.
KT Leveston, OL – Cleveland Browns
After spending his rookie season with the Los Angeles Rams, Leveston was traded to Cleveland prior to the start of the regular season. He was inactive for the Browns' narrow 17-16 home loss to Cincinnati, and Cleveland travels to face Baltimore on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Tennessee Titans
After spending his first 10 NFL seasons with Seattle, Lockett played in his first game with the Tennessee Titans – a 20-12 loss at Denver – as he was in for 33 offensive snaps. The Titans have their home opener on Sunday when they host the Los Angeles Rams.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Cleveland Browns
Lucas, who is with his sixth NFL team, signed with Cleveland in the offseason after five seasons in Washington. He came off the bench to see time on 56 offensive snaps in addition to four special teams plays in the Browns' 17-16 home loss to Cincinnati. The Browns travel to take on Baltimore on Sunday.
Adrian Martinez, QB – San Francisco 49ers
Martinez, who spent the 2024 season on the New York Jets' practice squad, was released by the Jets prior to the regular season and quickly signed with San Francisco's practice squad. The 49ers opened the season by earning a 17-13 win at Seattle, and they travel to face New Orleans on Sunday.
Jacob Parrish, CB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Parrish shined in his first-career NFL game by totaling four defensive tackles – including one for a loss – in addition to a tackle on kickoff coverage as he helped Tampa Bay earn a 23-20 win at Atlanta. The Buccaneers travel to face Houston on Monday night.
D.J. Reed, DB – Detroit Lions
Reed signed with Detroit in the offseason after three seasons with the Jets. He started his first game with the Lions, carding five tackles over his 48 defensive snaps in Detroit's 27-13 loss at Green Bay. The Lions host Chicago in their home opener on Sunday.
Dalton Risner, OL – Cincinnati Bengals
Risner, who is in his seventh NFL season, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in late August. He came off the bench to see time on 36 offensive snaps and a pair of special teams plays in Cincinnati's 17-16 win at Cleveland. The Bengals host Jacksonville on Sunday.
Marques Sigle, S – San Francisco 49ers
A fifth-round selection in this year's draft, Sigle earned the start in his first-career NFL game and was in for all 52 defensive snaps, coming away with six tackles and a fumble recovery to help San Francisco pick up a 17-13 win at Seattle. The 49ers play at New Orleans on Sunday.
Ben Sinnott, TE – Washington Commanders
Beginning his second NFL season, Sinnott was in for eight offensive snaps and eight special teams plays in Washington's 21-6 home win over the New York Giants. The Commanders travel to face Green Bay on Thursday night.
Skylar Thompson, QB – Pittsburgh Steelers
Thompson, who spent his first three NFL seasons in Miami, signed with Pittsburgh during the offseason. He served as the Steelers' third quarterback in their 34-32 win at the New York Jets. Pittsburgh hosts Seattle on Sunday.
Russ Yeast, S – Cincinnati Bengals
In his third NFL season, Yeast signed with the Bengals' practice squad in late August. Cincinnati picked up a 17-16 road win at Cleveland, and it hosts Jacksonville on Sunday.
