MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State Director of Track and Field Travis Geopfert announced that tickets will be on sale online only on Tuesday, March 10, at 5 p.m., for the K-State Relays set for April 10-11 at R.V. Christian Track.
The best high school track and field athletes from the state of Kansas and surrounding states will travel to Manhattan and compete in a unique format that scores the relay events and crown both a boys and girls team champion.
Ticket prices start at $12 for a single day or $20 for a two-day pass when purchased in advance. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as prices will increase on event day. Exclusive K-State Relays merchandise will also be available for purchase at the event.
Six relay events will take place - the 4x100, 4x400, 4x800, sprint medley relay, distance medley relay and shuttle hurdle relay. The K-State Relays will also highlight seven field events with the long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus throw and javelin throw with a field size of 32 athletes. The high jump and pole vault will have up to 24 participating athletes.
Friday's events are tentatively set for a 12 p.m. start with a rolling schedule with both the boys 4x100 meter relays and four field events. Saturday's events are currently set for a 9:30 a.m. start time in three field events while the sprint medley relays begin at 10 a.m.
All tickets are digital and general admission with limited seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Gates will open 2 hours prior to the start of the first event and start times may change. Re-entry will be allowed for this event, but fans must scan their ticket when leaving and returning. K-State has a clear bag policy. Please visit k-st.at/kstaterelays for more event and fan information. Sales tax will be added to the price of all tickets.
The Cliff Rovelto Indoor Track will be utilized as a warm-up area while Bramlage Coliseum will house the team camps. The close proximity of these three facilities will make for a seamless experience for athletes and coaches.
