Catbacker Clubs in Garden City, Scott City Welcome Fans May 20

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Catbacker Clubs in Garden City and Scott City will roll out the purple carpet for head coaches Collin Klein, Casey Alexander and Jeff Mittie for events on Wednesday, May 20.
The day begins with the Finney County Catbackers K-State Day and Golf Tournament, which will take place at The Golf Club at Southwind in Garden City. Check-in is set for 9 a.m., CT with a shotgun start for the four-person scramble at 10 a.m., CT. There will be refreshments and a scholarship recognition program at 3 p.m., CT.
The cost is $125 per person, which includes lunch, green fees and cart.

Following the golf tournament, fans can make the short trek north to Scott City, where the annual K-State Fry will take place at the HRC Feedyard. The social begins at 6 p.m., CT with the meal set for 7 p.m., CT. Attendees are asked for a $50 donation, which includes Rocky Mountain Oysters and a fish fry as well as a live auction with K-State athletics memorabilia.

The events will include appearances from the three head coaches as well as a host of athletic department and K-State Alumni Association staff.
Catbacker Clubs are co-sponsored by K-State Athletics and K-State Alumni Association. These clubs contribute to the Ahearn Fund and help support K-State Athletics.
