Big 12 Announces 2026-27 Menβs Basketball Schedule

The 18-game Big 12 schedule tips on Saturday, Jan. 2 at Baylor.
MANHATTAN, Kan. β Weekend home dates with Arizona, Cincinnati, Colorado, Kansas and TCU highlight first-year head coach Casey Alexander's first Big 12 campaign in 2027, as the league office released its conference-only schedule presented by Monster Energy on Thursday (Sept. 17).

K-State will play every Big 12 member at least once with home-and-home matchups with Arizona State, Cincinnati and the annual Dillons Sunflower Showdown series with Kansas. The Wildcats last played the Sun Devils in a home-and-home series in 2024-25, while they played the Bearcats in a home-and-home series during the 2023-24 campaign.

Season tickets for the 2026-27 season are currently on sale. Single-game tickets for the nine-game Big 12 home schedule will go on sale in October, however, single-game tickets for the nine-game non-conference schedule as well as the Wildcat Classic matchup with Wichita State at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City will go on sale online only on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m., CT with in-person phone orders starting on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m., CT.

K-State will open Big 12 play at Baylor on Saturday, Jan. 2 for the first time followed by three of its next four games coming at Bramlage Coliseum, including back-to-back contests against Houston (Tuesday, Jan. 5) and Final Four participant Arizona (Saturday, Jan. 9). After a road trip to West Virginia on Tuesday, Jan. 12, the Wildcats will welcome TCU on Saturday, Jan. 16.

The rivalry game with Kansas will be Saturday, Jan. 23 in between road games at Arizona State (Tuesday, Jan. 19) and Iowa State (Saturday, Jan. 30).

The Wildcats open February with consecutive home games with Oklahoma State (Wednesday, Feb. 3) and Colorado (Saturday, Feb. 6) before a two-game road swing through the Beehive State with matchups at Utah (Wednesday, Feb. 10) and BYU (Saturday, Feb. 13).

Two of the next three games will be at home with visits by Arizona State (Tuesday, Feb. 16) and Texas Tech (Wednesday, Feb. 24) sandwiched around a road trip to Cincinnati (Saturday, Feb. 20). The team will travel to Kansas (Saturday, Feb. 27) and UCF (Wednesday, March 3) before hosting the Bearcats for the second time in 15 days in the home finale on Saturday, March 6.

The expanded Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament will run Tuesday-Saturday, March 9-13 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City and will coincide with the women's championship, which runs Thursday-Tuesday, March 5-9, also at T-Mobile.

- The Big 12 will again play an 18-game league schedule in 2027, playing nine at home and nine on the road... It continues the format they instituted from 2012-24 before moving to a 20-game schedule in 2024-25.
- Fourteen of the 16 Big 12 teams won at least 17 games in 2025-26 with 10 winning at least 20 games, including 36 wins by league champion and Final Four participant Arizona.
- Twelve Big 12 teams made the postseason a season ago, including NCAA Tournament appearances by Arizona, BYU, UCF, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, TCU and Texas Tech.
- K-State will open Big 12 against Baylor for the first time in series history⦠The teams could play a non-conference game at the Players Era 16 in Las Vegas in November.
- K-State will host Houston in the home Big 12 opener on Jan. 5β¦ The Cougars are 3-0 vs. the Wildcats in the Big 12 era, including an 87-57 win in their last visit to Manhattan.
- K-State will host Arizona for the seventh time and the second time at Bramlage Coliseum⦠K-State is 6-0 vs. Arizona in Manhattan, including a 73-70 win in 2025.
- K-State travels to West Virginia on Jan. 12 after splitting the series in 2026.
- TCU will visit Bramlage Coliseum on Jan. 16 on a 5-game winning streak in the series.
- K-State will play Arizona State twice, including in Tempe on Jan. 19 before a second visit to Bramlage Coliseum on Feb. 16.
- K-State and Kansas will renew their rivalry in Manhattan on Jan. 23 before ending the season in Lawrence on Feb. 27β¦. The schools have played a home-and-home series every year since 1912 and have played at least once every year since 1907... It is the sixth-most played rivalry (305) in Division I men's basketball.
- K-State visits Hilton Coliseum for the first time since upsetting the Cyclones in 2025.
- K-State hosts Oklahoma State and Colorado in back-to-back games to kick off February⦠The Wildcats won both matchups in their last meetings at home in 2025.
- K-State will go back-to-back to Utah and BYU after doing a similar road trip in 2025β¦ The Wildcats and Utes have split their first 2 conference meetings, including a 74-69 win by the Utes at home in 2025, while the Wildcats have never won a game in Provo.
- K-State plays Cincinnati twice in the last 5 conference games, including in Cincinnati on Feb. 20 and at home on March 6.
- Texas Tech has won 4 straight in the series heading into its visit to Manhattan on Feb. 24.
- The Wildcats will play at UCF for just the second time and the first time since 2025.
