MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2025 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 16 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE – Kansas City Chiefs
Anudike-Uzomah, a first-round pick in 2023, made the fifth start of his career and was credited with two quarterback pressures among his 29 defensive snaps in Kansas City's 33-30 overtime win over Indianapolis. Now 2-0 this season, the Chiefs travel to face Miami on Sunday.
Cooper Beebe, C – Dallas Cowboys
Beebe, who is in his third NFL season, registered the 29th start of his career and was in for all 55 snaps to help Dallas earn a 37-20 win over Washington. The Cowboys, who are 1-1 this season, take on Baltimore in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday.
JuJu Brents, CB – Miami Dolphins
In his fourth season and second in Miami, Brents made two tackles among his 32 defensive plays during Miami's 35-13 loss at San Francisco. The Dolphins have their home opener on Sunday against Kansas City.
DJ Giddens, RB – Indianapolis Colts
In his second season, Giddens was inactive for Indianapolis' 33-30 overtime loss at Kansas City. The Colts fell to 0-2 this season, and they host Houston on Sunday.
Josh Hayes, DB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Hayes, who is in his fourth season, is on injured reserve. Tampa Bay fell to 0-2 with a 23-19 home loss to Cleveland, and the Buccaneers look to right the ship at home against Minnesota on Sunday.
Sam Hecht, C – Carolina Panthers
Hecht, a fifth-round selection by the Panthers in this year's draft, was in for four offensive snaps and six special teams plays during Carolina's 34-3 win at Atlanta. The Panthers evened their record at 1-1 prior to playing at Cleveland on Sunday.
Timmy Horne, DT – Tennessee Titans
In his fourth NFL season, Horne is on Tennessee's practice squad. The Titans lost at home to Philadelphia, 24-20, to drop to 0-2 this season, and they play at the New York Giants on Sunday.
Easton Kilty, OL – New Orleans Saints
A rookie free agent signee prior to the 2025 season, Kilty is on the Saints' practice squad for a second-straight season. New Orleans earned its first win of the season, a 24-17 victory at Baltimore. Now 1-1 on the year, the Saints host the Raiders on Sunday.
KT Leveston, OL – Cleveland Browns
Leveston, who is in his third season, is on Cleveland's practice squad. The Browns evened their record at 1-1 with a 23-19 win at Tampa Bay, and they host Carolina on Sunday.
Jacob Parrish, CB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Parrish, a third-round draft pick in 2025 by Tampa Bay, was inactive for the Buccaneers' 23-19 home loss to Cleveland. Now 0-2 this season, Tampa Bay hosts Minnesota on Sunday.
VJ Payne, S – New York Jets
A seventh-round selection in this year's draft, Payne is on injured reserve but is designated for return as he will be out at least the first four games of the season. New York suffered a 20-17 loss at home to Green Bay, and the 1-1 Jets travel to face Detroit on Sunday.
D.J. Reed, DB – Detroit Lions
Reed, who is in his ninth season and second with Detroit, made the 83rd start of his career and recorded six tackles among his 71 defensive snaps in the Lions' 41-31 loss at Buffalo on Thursday night. Now 1-1 this season, Detroit hosts the New York Jets on Sunday.
Dalton Risner, OL – Cincinnati Bengals
Risner, who is in his eighth season and second with Cincinnati, tallied the 94th start of his career and was in for all 60 offensive snaps to help the Bengals earn a 20-6 win at Houston. Cincinnati, which is 2-0 to begin the year, play at Pittsburgh on Sunday.
Marques Sigle, S – San Francisco 49ers
In his second season, Sigle made his ninth career start and posted seven tackles, including one for a loss, as he was in for all 59 defensive snaps during San Francisco's 35-13 home win over Miami. The 49ers improved to 2-0 this season, and they host Arizona on Sunday.
Ben Sinnott, TE – Washington Commanders
In his third season, Sinnott made his sixth career start and hauled in one pass for six yards among his 48 offensive snaps in addition to seeing time on nine special teams plays during Washington's 37-20 loss at Dallas. The Commanders, who are 0-2 this season, host Seattle on Sunday.
Skylar Thompson, QB – Baltimore Ravens
