  • Started all 103 games in his career, including a school-record 37 in 2017-18… Became just the fifth player (Rolando Blackman, Barry Brown, Jr., Steve Henson and Rodney McGruder) to start 100 consecutive games, while his 103 consecutive starts rank third all-time behind Henson and Brown… The first Wildcat to start every game in a 3-or-more-year career… His 103 consecutive games played also rank 10th in school history.
  • Finished his career with 728 points (7.1 ppg.) on 52.5 percent shooting (293-of-558) and 74.0 percent shooting (134-of-181) from the free throw line… His career 52.5 field goal percentage ranks just outside the all-time Top 10, which includes the sixth highest (59.8; 104-of-174) in a single season as a sophomore in 2017-18.

  • Totaled nearly 700 minutes (682:40) during the season, averaging 21.3 minutes per game… Played 20 or more minutes in 21 games, including four games of 30 or minutes… Had a season-high 31 minutes at Alabama (1/25/20).
  • Averaged 7.4 points on 45.9 percent shooting (89-of-194) with team-best in rebounds (5.4 rpg.) and blocked shots (0.8 bpg.)… Connected on a team-high 75 percent (57-of-76) from the free throw line… In addition to leading the team in rebounding, blocked shots and free throw percentage, he ranked second in field goal percentage and third in scoring.

  • Totaled 754 minutes on the season with an average of 22.2 per game… Played at least 20 minutes in 22 games, including three games of 30 or more minutes… Logged a season-high 35 minutes in the win at Texas (2/12/19) and against UC Irvine (3/22/19) in the NCAA Tournament.
  • Averaged 7.0 points on a 52.6 percent shooting (100-of-190) with 4.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game… Connected on 68.6 percent (35-of-51) from the free throw line.

  • Named to the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team after averaging 22.5 points in games against TCU (3/8/18) and No. 9/9 Kansas (3/9/18)… Was the program’s 17th all-time selection to the team and the first since 2013… Connected on 73.1 percent (19-of-26) from the field and 87.5 percent (7-of-8) from the free throw line to go with 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals in 32.0 minutes per game.
  • One of three players to start in all 37 games, including all 4 in the NCAA Tournament… The 37 starts tied five others, including teammates Barry Brown, Jr., and Xavier Sneed for the most in school history in a single season, while the 37 games played tied seven others for the most in a single season… It also tied Sneed for the most games played by a sophomore.
  • Totaled 742 minutes on the season with an average of 20.1 per game… Played 20 or more minutes in 15 games and 30 or more minutes in 7 games… Played a season-high 36 minutes in a win over No. 24/25 TCU (1/20/18).

  • Other notable scoring games came against TCU, scoring 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting against the nationally-ranked Horned Frogs (1/20/18) and 16 points on 6-of-7 field goals in a win at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship (3/8/18).
  • Led the Wildcats in rebounding on 4 occasions, including a season-best 9 boards against American (11/10/17), Washington State (12/20/17) and TCU (3/8/18).
  • Missed double-doubles on several occasions, including 12 points and 9 rebounds in the opener against American (11/10/17), 15 points and 9 rebounds at Washington State (12/20/17), 16 points and 9 rebounds vs. TCU (3/8/18) at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship.
  • Knocked down 3-pointers against SE Missouri State (12/16/17), at Baylor (1/22/18) and against Creighton (3/16/18) in the NCAA Tournament.

  • Averaged 8.7 points on 49.2 percent shooting (94-of-191), including 41.2 percent (17-of-41) from 3-point range, with 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in averaging 14.8 minutes per game… Played in 29 games with 25 starts… Connected on 65.3 percent (47-of-72) from the line.
  • Led the Thunderbirds in 3-point field goal percentage (41.2), rebounding (168), defensive rebounds (128) and blocked shots (59) and was second in field goal percentage and offensive rebounds (40)… Ranked fourth in scoring average.

  • Makol Mawien was born November 8, 1996 in Cairo, Egypt… Parents are Mawien Arik and Adut Dor… Has five siblings… Migrated to the U.S., as a young child after being born in a refugee camp in Cairo, Egypt and grew up outside of Salt Lake City… His parents are originally from South Sudan… Passed his citizenship test in the summer of 2018 and is a full citizen.
  • Earned a bachelor’s degree in communications in May 2020.
