Played one season (2020-21) as a walk-on at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., where he saw action in 2 games… Was a part of a Gaels’ squad which won the MAAC (Metro Atlantic) Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in legendary coach Rick Pitino’s first season… The team lost to Alabama, 68-55, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Played in 2 games, totaling 4 minutes of action… Did not record any statistics… Played a season-high 3 minutes at Rider (12/19/20).

High School

Spent a postgraduate year (2019-20) at Don Bosco Prep in Crown Point, Indiana.
Played his senior season (2018-19) at East Carter High School in Grayson, Ky., where he averaged a team-best 15.9 points and 8.6 rebounds in 26 games… Connected on 48.5 percent (164-of-338) from the field, including 26.9 percent (18-of-67) from 3-point range, and 73.1 percent (68-of-93) from the free throw line.
Selected as the 2019 Eastern Kentucky Conference Player and Defensive Player of the Year.

Personal

Jordan Broyles Brooks was born June 14, 2001, in Grayson, Ky. … Parents are Delray Brooks and Melissa Bays… Has three siblings (Michael, Evan and Allie).
Father, Delray, is a former Indiana Mr. Basketball who played for the Hoosiers from 1984-86) under legendary coach Bob Knight before finishing his career at Providence (1986-88), where he helped the Friars to the Final Four in 1987.
Cousin, Scott Downs, was a relief pitcher in the majors from 2000-14, playing for seven clubs, most notably with the Toronto Blue Jays
