- Played his senior season (2018-19) at East Carter High School in Grayson, Ky., where he averaged a team-best 15.9 points and 8.6 rebounds in 26 games… Connected on 48.5 percent (164-of-338) from the field, including 26.9 percent (18-of-67) from 3-point range, and 73.1 percent (68-of-93) from the free throw line.

- Jordan Broyles Brooks was born June 14, 2001, in Grayson, Ky. … Parents are Delray Brooks and Melissa Bays… Has three siblings (Michael, Evan and Allie).
- Father, Delray, is a former Indiana Mr. Basketball who played for the Hoosiers from 1984-86) under legendary coach Bob Knight before finishing his career at Providence (1986-88), where he helped the Friars to the Final Four in 1987.
- Cousin, Scott Downs, was a relief pitcher in the majors from 2000-14, playing for seven clubs, most notably with the Toronto Blue Jays
