| COVERING K-STATE |
Working Credentials
The Kansas State Athletics Communications office should receive all online credential applications no later than five days prior to the game. All media outlets interested in covering Kansas State football games at Bill Snyder Family Stadium during the season MUST submit their credential request online via K-State's credential application website. The K-State Athletics Communications office will no longer be able to process written request for football credentials received via U.S. Mail, e-mail or fax. Once an online credential application has been submitted, media outlets will receive an e-mail confirming K-State's receipt of the application. Subsequent e-mails will also be sent referencing the status of each outlet's application (i.e. approved/denied).
Mailing of Credentials
Because of inconsistent mail delivery service on tight deadlines, media passes may not be mailed in some instances. If this is the case, passes may be picked up at the Will Call window located on the West Side of Bill Snyder Family Stadium beginning two hours prior to kickoff. Individuals picking up credentials will be required to furnish positive identification. All credentials are non-transferable and are issued based on Kansas State's credential policy.
Credentials Restrictions
Admission to the press level is for working media only. Only those media with official K-State credentials will be admitted. Friends, spouses, children and non-workers are not welcome in the press area.
Photographers
Only accredited photographers on assignment from recognized media outlets will be issued sideline credentials. In accordance with NCAA rules, no freelance photographers will be admitted to the sidelines or press box photo deck. All photographers must have a photo vest (obtained in the press box on gameday) and a media pass to shoot inside Bill Snyder Family Stadium. NCAA rules limit shooting to outside the restraining line enclosing the playing field and outside the 25-yard lines (the team areas). Children under 16-years-old are not permitted on the sideline.
Media Parking
All parking requests must be submitted online through K-State's credential application website and should be applied for when requesting credentials. Press parking is limited and will be provided upon request on a first-come, first-served basis as available. Contact the Kansas State Athletics Communications office regarding details and directions to press parking areas.
Road Credentials
Obtaining media credential for K-State road games is the sole responsibility of each media outlet. All credentials for K-State road games are granted at the discretion of the host institution.

Credential Allocation
Credentials and working space for media members are issued at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Kansas State Athletics Communications Office based on the following priorities and guidelines:
- Originating radio and television personnel involved in a live broadcast.
- Daily newspapers regularly covering Kansas State University, the current-game opponent or another Big 12 school. Wire services, regional and national publications are also afforded this priority.
- Non-originating radio and television personnel producing reports on the game. Only local radio stations with a full-time sports director conducting a regular sports show receive consideration.
- Officially recognized Kansas State University student publications or electronic media outlets.
- Non-daily newspapers reporting on the game.
Credential Policies
- With the exception of beat writers covering Kansas State daily, all passes are issued on a game-by-game basis with consideration of available working space.
- Passes are non-transferable and are subject to immediate revocation if transferred to non-working members of a media outlet.
- Kansas State University and the NCAA prohibit the issuance of credentials to representatives of organizations that regularly publish gambling information, such as “tout” or “tip” sheets.
- Web sites that sponsor “message boards” or “chat rooms” where people are allowed to post anonymous information or rumors are ineligible for credentials or access to media functions.
- If a news-gathering medium has an online site that sponsors anonymous forums, it may continue to request credentials under its traditional medium (newspaper, magazine, radio or television), but will not be granted additional passes or access for online staff.
- Kansas State University reserves the right to deny media credentials to any individual whose web site is not affiliated with a recognized news-gathering organization.
- All persons picking up credentials will be required to furnish positive identification. All credentials are non-transferable.
- Spouses, dates, non-workers and anyone under 16 years of age are not permitted in the working press area.
- Restrictions have been made on the usage of internet video of K-State Athletic events. Highlights of game action and/or press conferences from K-State events are limited to and cannot excede three (3) minutes in length per event.
- Each outlet requesting credentials will be permitted a MAXIMUM of TWO “on-field” passes which can be designated for still photography or video use. These two passes MUST be utilized in a working fashion and each user must check out a PHOTO VEST from the press level (which must be worn on the field at all times).
