- Being downstream in the signal chain from the control room, you must be able to operate much of this position independently. This includes checking the boards, rotations, backups, etc. Fully checking everything and being very detail oriented will ensure that there are no surprises when the game begins.
- Understanding the signal flow is critical to being able to help troubleshoot when there are issues. You should be able to describe how the Motion Rocket CPU, the router, the DVI Matrix and the LED processors all work together to get the feeds to the boards. It isn’t something that changes often, but you should review it with yourself every game until you fully understand it. Taking notes will help you make sure you have the correct information. Without this understanding, it will be difficult to switch to the backup system if it is needed.
