General Reminders
- Reminder to clock in and out of your shift every time you work. There is a clock located at baseball and volleyball. You do not need to come to WSC unless your position is located there.
- Parking is free and you do not need a pass. You can park in the West parking lot of the football stadium. Each of you will have season credentials with your name on it for. Prior to the first match be sure to pick yours up from our offices. Be sure not to lose them and make sure to bring them to every match you are working.
- Our WSC Control Room will be used fo TV broadcasts. The board control room located in Volleyball will be used for the video board show.
- Our department clear bag policy will be in effect for anyone entering the stadium. Please review it and leave unnecessary and prohibited bags in your vehicle.
- Access to the stadium before the game will be through the north gate. To access stadium you will need to follow the green path below. All cameras and equipment will be stored in the board rack room for you to access when you arrive.

- See below for camera locations:
- For weekday games meals are normally provided, however, due the small space of the press box, please take your food and eat it outside. If you are working in a control room someone can bring food back for everyone to eat at their respective venues. Remember no food in the control room and all drinks must have a sealed lid. Receiving a meal is a bonus, and it is always possible that you may not have time to eat due to a variety of reasons, so plan accordingly. There will not be meals provided for weekend games.
- If you have any questions about anything you will be doing on gameday, please ask ahead of time so we can get you caught up to speed before the day of the game.
- For Soccer we are producing two shows simultaneously, one for TV broadcast and one for the in-house video board. If your position has a BD in front of it you are working for the video board shows which are controlled out of Board Control Room located in Volleyball. If it does not have a BD on it then you are working for the TV show which is controlled from the WSC Control Room. Again, know what position you are assigned to and where you need to report to. Reporting to the wrong control room makes us think that you forgot you were assigned to work.
- It is very important that ALL of our camera operators become familiar with the setup of EVERYTHING at the soccer stadium. This includes all cameras, booth setup, rain gear etc. It will not be near as fast for someone to be able to run out to help you. The more you can be self-sufficient the better we will all be able to function. So make sure to take a look at how everything is being setup and not just your own area. Be proactive in making yourself more knowledgeable.
- All camera SMPTE cables are connected to camera sheds to convert to fiber. The fiber converters will need to be turned on and off each game. The sheds are in a stainless steel box near each camera and will all have a padlock on them. We need to be sure these are locked up each night. SMPTE cable will hang up outside the box or inside the box, we need to be sure the cap is on the end of the cable and that it is pointing down so that water does not build up inside.
- When you are working please use your time wisely. There is always more to learn. If you feel lost and don’t know what to do, ask someone else how you can help. It pays to take charge of your own education, force the issue. Playing on your phone is not a good use of time.
