- Opted to utilize his extra season of eligibility at K-State for the 2021-22 season.
- Saw action in 131 career games with 111 starts at Illinois (2017-18), Missouri (2018-21) and K-State (2021-22)… Played in 31 games, with 18 starts, as a true freshman for the Fighting Illini in 2017-18… Played in 69 games with 61 starts with the Tigers… Was the only Wildcat to start and play in all 31 games in 2021-22.

- This was K-State’s third recruitment of Smith who had the Wildcats among his finalists when the former Illinois Mr. Basketball selected Illinois out of high school and then again when he transferred after his freshman season in 2017-18 and ultimately decided to attend Missouri.
- One of the few players to have played for and against the Wildcats, as he posted 11 points on 3-of-7 field goals, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, with 4 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal in 23 minutes for Missouri against K-State in the championship game of the 2018 Paradise Jam.
As A Super Senior (2021-22)
- Selected to the All-Big 12 Third Team and All-Newcomer Team by the league coaches… One of just 16 Wildcats in the Big 12 era to earn recognition to one of the three All-Big 12 teams and one of five to be selected to the All-Newcomer Team and the first since 2015-16.
- Earned Phillips 66 Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors on Jan. 3 after becoming the first Wildcat with a 25/15/5 game in the Big 12 opener at Oklahoma (1/1/22), posting career-highs in points (25) and rebounds (16) to go with 5 assists in 39 minutes.
- The only Wildcat to start and play in all 31 games.
- Led the team with 983 minutes, averaging 31.7 per game… Ranked 11th in the Big 12 in minutes played… Played 30 or more minutes in 19 games, including a season and career-high 44 in the overtime win at Iowa State (2/12/22).

- Became the shortest player EVER to lead a power conference in rebounding after averaging 8.4 per game… Also led the Big 12 in defensive rebounds (6.7), while was second in double-doubles (8)… In all, he finished among the league’s Top 15 in 6 categories, including 11th in scoring (12.7 ppg.), free throw percentage (70.9), offensive rebounds (1.74) and minutes (31.7).

- Collected 8 double-doubles on the season, which were the most by a Wildcat since Jamar Samuels also had 8 in 2011-12… Four double-doubles came in Big 12 play, including in consecutive games vs. West Virginia (2/14/22) with 17 points and 10 rebounds and at Oklahoma State (2/19/22) with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
- His 260 rebounds were the most by a Wildcat since Michael Beasley set the school single season record with 408 in 2007-08… His 206 defensive rebounds rank second on the school’s single season list, which began being kept in 1986-87… His 8.4 per game average was the second highest to Beasley’s (12.4 rpg.) in the last 20 seasons.
- Posted 10 or more rebounds in 9 games, including a career-tying 16 at Oklahoma (1/1/22) and at Ole Miss (1/29/22)… The 16 rebounds were the most of any Big 12 player… Had a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) in the second half alone at Ole Miss… His 16 boards at Oklahoma were the most by a Wildcat in a Big 12 game since Michael Beasley had 17 vs. Missouri on Feb. 16, 2008… Led the team in rebounding in 23 games.
- Ranked third on the team with 38 made 3-point field goals on 36.2 percent shooting… Knocked down at least 2 triples in 12 games, including a season-high 3 at Oklahoma (1/1/22) and twice vs. West Virginia (1/8/22 and 3/9/22).

- Helped lead the Tigers to a 16-10 overall record, including an 8-8 mark in SEC, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017-18, where they lost in the first round to Oklahoma, 72-68.
- Saw action in all 26 games, including 24 starts… Started the last 11 games of the season.
- Was second on the team in minutes (768), averaging 29.5 per game… Played 30 or more minutes in 13 games, including a season-high 37 vs. Alabama (2/6/21).

- A four-year letterman at Edwardsville High School, where he led the Tigers to a 103-22 (.824) overall record, including a pair of 30-win seasons… Was playing on the varsity team as a freshman when the team finished third at the 2014 state tournament.
- Led Edwardsville to a 30-2 overall record, including a 13-1 record in league play, and a No. 1 ranking in the state of Illinois for the first time in school history as a senior in 2016-17… The Tigers lost to Chicago Simeon, 76-64, in the 2017 IHSA Class 4A Super Sectionals… Played alongside A.J. Epenesa, who is currently playing for the Buffalo Bills.

- Comes from an athletic family, as both played college basketball at Southern Illinois and SIU-Edwardsville, while sister, Maria, plays softball at Southern Miss. … Mother, Yvonne, ranks in the top-20 in scoring in SIU-Edwardsville history with 1,118 points, while father, Anthony, scored more than 500 points in stints at Southern Illinois and SIU-Edwardsville.
- Played for the Ramey-Jets United AAU program coached by Andre McMurray.
- Was considered a Major League Baseball pitching prospect in high school, committing to Missouri as a junior, before an injury to his flexor pronator tendon in his throwing elbow led him to focus solely on basketball.
