Fowler comes to Manhattan after spending the last two years in the same capacity at Toledo, working alongside current K-State Special Teams Coordinator Stanton Weber. In his role with the Rockets, Fowler helped Toledo win eight games each of the last two years with a pair of bowl appearances. This past season, Toledo led the nation with five total blocked kicks, while the Rockets were fifth in blocked punts (3), 19th in punt-return defense (4.22) and 34th in punt returns (11.48).
He assisted with the development of four All-MAC honorees as kickoff returner Trayvon Rudolph (second team) and punt returner Bryson Hammer (third team) earned the nod in 2025, while kickoff return Jacquez Stuart and punt returner Bryson Hammer each recorded second-team honors in 2024. Additionally, the 2024 season saw James Roe earn Freshman All-America honors.
Fowler originally entered the coaching profession as a special teams assistant at South Carolina during the 2022 season, a year in which the Gamecocks defeated five ranked opponents en route to an eight-win season and an appearance in the Gator Bowl. That season, South Carolina recorded a school-record five blocked punts, while punter Kai Kroeger earned All-America honors and long snapper Hunter Rogers was an All-SEC performer.
A native of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Fowler played baseball for four seasons at Neumann University, a Division III school in Ashton, Pennsylvania, as he was a four-time academic all-conference honoree. He obtained his undergraduate degree in sport management with a minor in business administration and marketing from Neumann in 2021 and a master’s degree in sports and entertainment management from South Carolina in 2022.
