Chad Cain joined K-State in March 2021 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Wildcat football program. He came to Manhattan after spending the 2020 season at USF, while he was at Arkansas for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, working with new K-State Director of Strength and Conditioning Trumain Carroll at both stops.

Cain, a 2010 graduate in biological sciences from South Carolina State University, began his career as a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs as he obtained his master’s in nutritional sciences. He received his first full-time job as an assistant athletic performance coach at Baylor during the 2013 and 2014 seasons, working with the football program in addition to various Olympic sports. He then moved to Tulsa for three years as he worked with the football and softball programs.

Cain, who received his strength and conditioning coach certification in May 2016, is a native of Florence, South Carolina. He and his wife, Gabrielle, have two daughters, Adia and Tauri.
