A three-year letterwinner at Northwestern, Fred Wyatt is in his second season at K-State as a defensive graduate assistant in 2021.
Wyatt played in 40 career games for the Wildcats, including 10 starts during his senior season of 2018 in which Northwestern won the Big Ten West and capped the year with a win over No. 17 Utah in the Holiday Bowl en route to a final No. 21 ranking in the Associated Press Top 25. Wyatt finished with 57 career tackles to go along with 6.5 tackles for loss, a pair of pass breakups and a blocked kick, which included 28 tackles and 3.5 TFLs as a senior.
A three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Wyatt earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Northwestern in 2018 and his master’s in management studies from the Kellogg School of Management in 2019.
Wyatt, who played in high school at Lawrence Free State, is the son of K-State’s defensive ends coach Buddy Wyatt.
