Entering his seventh year with the program, Jake Vang currently serves as a defensive graduate assistant. In his role, Vang assists the defensive staff and helps run the offensive scout team.
Previously, Vang was as a student assistant coach working with the interior defensive line in 2014 and 2016, while he assisted with the linebackers in 2015. In addition to on-field assistance, he also provided preparatory work and broke down film.
Vang, who originally entered the program as a student equipment manager in 2013, grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Goddard High School. He obtained his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in leadership studies from Kansas State in May 2017.
