Reid comes to Manhattan after spending the previous three seasons at Boise State, the first year as an assistant director of sports performance before serving as the associate director the last two seasons. He helped the Broncos earn a combined 29-13 record, which was highlighted by a 12-2 record in 2024. That season, Boise State won the Mountain West Championship and played in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals at the Fiesta Bowl.
Prior to Boise State, Reid spent the 2022 season at Virginia after working the 2021 season at Virginia Tech, both as an assistant director of strength and conditioning. Reid began working in the strength and conditioning field as an intern at Furman before becoming a graduate assistant at Georgia State.
Reid was a four-year letterwinner as a defensive lineman at Furman, earning all-conference honors in 2017 and 2018, while he was also a member of the Paladin track and field program. He obtained his undergraduate degree in business administration from Furman in 2018. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
