Mikael Bradford is in his second season as a defensive graduate assistant for the Wildcat football program in 2025. In his role, Bradford assists in coaching the safeties.
 
In his first season in Manhattan, Bradford helped K-State rank in the top 30 nationally in three categories, including a No. 4 ranking in fourth down defense (32.1%), a No. 25 ranking in sacks per game (2.69) and a No. 28 ranking in rushing yards allowed (118.7).

Bradford came to K-State following a two-year stint as a defensive graduate assistant at Colorado State. He went right into coaching following his collegiate playing career as he was a defensive back for two seasons at Division II Minot State before transferring to Nevada for his final three seasons. He appeared in 12 games over two seasons at Nevada, totaling 40 tackles. Bradford helped the Wolfpack earn consecutive bowl appearances as they played in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in 2020 and the Quick Lane Bowl in 2021.

A native of Compton, California, Bradford earned his undergraduate degree in discrete mathematics from Nevada in May 2022, while he obtained a master’s degree in sports management from Colorado State in January 2024.
