A two-year starting quarterback at South Alabama, Ross Metheny enters his second season as a Defensive Graduate Assistant at K-State.
Upon
completing his eligibility with USA in 2013, Metheny was a graduate
assistant for the Jaguars in 2014 as he helped the program earn its
first ever bowl trip. He was a Second Team All-Sun Belt performer as a
senior after leading the conference in total yards per game at 269.0
yards. For his efforts on and off the field, Metheny was named to the
SBC All-Leadership team in 2013-14 in addition to being named a team
captain in 2013.
A native of Stephens City, Virginia, Metheny
transferred to South Alabama after spending three years on the team at
the University of Virginia and graduating in 2012 with a degree in
sociology. He earned his master’s degree in educational leadership from
USA in 2014.
