Greg Svarczkopf
- Title:
- Director of Recruiting
Greg Svarczkopf is in his first season as K-State's Director of Recruiting in 2026.
This is Svarczkopf's second stint in the Big 12 as he came to Manhattan after spending the previous five seasons at Kansas as the Director of Recruiting, working for a portion of that time alongside current K-State Defensive Coordinator Jordan Peterson. Prior to his time at KU, Svarczkopf worked as both the Director of Recruiting and Director of On-Campus Recruiting at Army.
Svarczkopf went to West Point after working three seasons at New Mexico, first as a graduate assistant before being promoted to Director of Recruiting. He originally went to Albuquerque in 2017 to serve as a graduate assistant coach working with the linebackers before switching to the offensive line and then ultimately getting into the recruiting side of the business. While at UNM, Svarczkopf also worked with Peterson.
He worked one year as a graduate assistant coach working with the defensive line at Kent State. That came on the heels working with the defensive ends at the University of St. Francis, helping the team win a Co-Mid States Football Association Championship. He also worked at Trine University as he tutored the defensive tackles (2013) as well as the outside linebackers and defensive backs (2014).
A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Svarczkopf played four seasons at Indiana University from 2008 to 2011. Immediately following his senior season, Svarczkopf served as a student assistant coach working with the linebackers in the Spring of 2012.
Svarczkopf obtained his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from Indiana in 2011.
