- Injured for much of the season, playing in just one game (Mississippi State) before having surgery on February 6 and missing the reminder of the season.
- Grabbed 1 rebound in 2 minutes vs. Mississippi State (12/14/19).
As A Sophomore (2018-19)
- Played in 19 games, averaging 2.6 minutes per game off the bench… Matched his career-high in minutes played with 15 against West Virginia (1/9/19)… Also played double-digit minutes in the win at West Virginia (2/18/19).
- Averaged 0.3 points on 60 percent shooting (3-of-5) with 0.4 rebounds per game… Did not attempt any free throws.
- Scored in 3 games, posting a season-high 2 points 3 times (Eastern Kentucky, Penn and Marquette).

- Helped the Wildcats to a 3-2 record during their 10-day tour of Italy and Switzerland (August 8-19)… Saw action in all 5 games… Averaged 2.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game… Scored a tour-high 6 points vs. the Italian Select Team to go with 6 rebounds.

- Considered one of the top players in the state of Florida by several recruiting services, including No. 23 by 247Sports.
- Played his senior season at American Heritage High School in Plantation, Fla. … Helped the Patriots to a 16-7 overall record and the Region 4 – District 16 title in 2015-16… Lost to Suncoast in the regional quarterfinals of the 2016 Class 5A State Tournament.
- Named honorable mention to the Miami Herald and Florida Sun-Sentinel All-Broward County 8A-5A teams… Voted the school’s Defensive Player of the Year.
- Averaged 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks per game as a senior… Collected 115 blocks for the season.
- Played one season at Somerset Academy in Pembroke Pines, Fla., as a junior in 2014-15.

Personal
- James Kelly Love III was February 4, 1998 in Akron, Ohio… Parents are James K. Love, Jr., and Crystal Jerels… Has four siblings (Ashlee, Jacob, Kelly and Alicia).
- Father, James, Jr., played football at North Carolina for head coaches Mack Brown and Carl Torbush from 1994-97, helping the Tar Heels to 36 wins and four bowl games, while playing alongside notable future NFL players Dre Bly, Greg Ellis, Vonnie Holiday and Jeff Saturday.
- Played AAU for Miami South Beach.
- Earned a bachelor’s degree in human development and family science in May 2020.
