Scored in 6 games, including his only 3-pointer of the season vs. Monmouth (11/13/19) and a career-tying 6 points vs. Alabama State (12/11/19) on 3-of-4 field goals.

As A Freshman (2015-16)

High School

A three-year letterman at Manhattan High School in Manhattan, Kan. … Helped the Indians to a school-record 18 wins, including the program’s first Centennial League title and a trip to the semifinals of the Class 6A sub-state tournament as a senior in 2014-15.
Named honorable mention Class 6A All-State by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) and the Wichita Eagle as a senior… Selected Flint Hills Player of the Year and First Team All-Flint Hills by Manhattan Mercury… Named First Team All-Centennial League.
Averaged 14.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a senior.
Named the Sports Radio 1350 KMAN/McDonald’s Student-Athlete of the Year and was a two-time Student of the Month at Manhattan High School.
Lettered four years in golf, where he was a four-year participant at the Class 6A State Championship… Finished in the Top 10 at the state tournament as a junior.

Personal

Pierson James McAtee was born June 9, 1997 in Little Rock, Ark. … Parents are Dr. Jamie and Kim McAtee... Has two younger sisters, Gigi and Camy.
Father, Jamie, has been the longtime athletic department orthopaedic surgeon.
Sister, Gigi, is a junior guard on the Central Missouri women’s basketball team, who won the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship.
Earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and finance in May 2019, while he finished a Master’s in accounting in May 2020.
