CAREER: One of the top long snappers in the nation who saw time in 62 career games, the second most in school history... Served as the primarily long snapper for all punts and field goals/extra point attempts the final three seasons of his career.

2023: Played in all 13 games, earning Honorable Mention All-America accolades from Phil Steele... A semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Long Snapper of the Year award... Tallied his first-career solo tackle on punt coverage against UCF... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 accolades.

2022: Played in every game as he was true on all 59 punt snaps and 81 field goal/extra point snaps... Named an Honorable Mention All-American by Phil Steele and a semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Long Snapper of the Year award... Recorded his first-career tackle on punt coverage at Iowa State... A First Team Academic All-Big 12 recipient.

2021: Played in all 13 games as the primary long snapper for punt and field goal/extra point attempts... Was true on all 103 snap attempts... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.

2020: Served as the primarily long snapper on all field goal and extra-point attempts, seeing action in nine games... Was true on all 47 snap attempts... A First Team Academic All-Big 12 performer.

2019: Played in all 13 games, serving as the team’s primary long snapper on both field goals and extra points... Was true on all 67 snaps during the season... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 accolades.

2018: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner at Park Hill under head coach Josh Hood... Rated the 23rd-best long snapper in the nation according to Rubio Long Snapping... Made 11 tackles and recovered one fumble in his career... Helped the Trojans earn a 10-3 record and a state semifinal appearance as a senior... Also letter three years in golf.

PERSONAL: Randen Plattner was born December 8, 1999, in Kansas City, Missouri... Son of Rodney and Debi Plattner... Has one sibling, Lyndi... Earned his degree from Kansas State in mechanical engineering in May 2023, while he is currently working on his MBA.
