Becca Fitzgerald is in her fifth season as the athletic trainer for Kansas State women’s basketball.
Fitzgerald came to K-State following four years as an assistant athletic trainer at Wichita State. She provided primary coverage to the women’s basketball team and cheerleading/dance in 2012-13 and men’s and women’s track and field and cross country programs for the final three seasons.
While with the Shockers, Fitzgerald performed a number of duties including: helping to develop and administer daily rehabilitation and maintenance programs.
She completed her master of arts in sports performance from Ball State in the spring of 2012. While at Ball State, Fitzgerald worked with the football program and women’s track and field and cross country teams.
Fitzgerald received her bachelor of science in education and athletic training in 2010 from Kansas. While in Lawrence, Fitzgerald received experience with men’s basketball, football and men’s and women’s track and field and cross country.
She is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), is a member of the Kansas Athletic Trainers’ Society and is certified to provide CPR/First Aid/AED use by the American Red Cross.
