Stewart Burke
A young and energetic coach who has made a great impact since being hired in January 2014, Stewart Burke enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Kansas State women’s golf program.

Since Burke arrived at K-State, the Wildcats have posted the top two season team stroke averages in school history, six of their top eight 54-hole scores and each of their top six team rounds. He has also helped Kansas State claim two team victories, including the 2014 Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational when he was the lead coach for the event.

Individually, Burke has helped Madison Talley earn a consecutive NCAA Regional bids in 2015 and 2016, while 11 of the top 15 individual 54-hole scores have come in the last two and a half years.

A native of Scotland, Burke came to K-State after spending three years as Director of Recruitment at United Sports USA, a company that assists NCAA Division I coaches of all sports with recruiting the top student-athletes from the United Kingdom and Europe. A partner who helped set up United Sports USA, Burke also previously worked at a similar organization called First Point USA Sport Scholarship Consultants.

In addition to his outside recruiting experience, Burke has also honed his skills on the course as he a former collegiate golfer at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, before becoming an assistant coach at Lindenwood during the 2007-08 season where he assisted with both the men's and women's programs.

Burke, who is a Titleist Performance Institute Certification as a Golf Fitness Instructor (Level I), has also caddied for numerous premier amateur events and professional tournaments.

While competing at Lindenwood from 2003-07, Burke worked at Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Peters, Missouri, as the Acting Director of Golf. At Old Hickory, Burke managed personnel, oversaw tournament operations and scoring functions while running the junior summer program, among other responsibilities.

Burke received his Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Lindenwood in 2007.
