K-State women’s tennis head coach Jordan Smith announced on September 5, 2024 the return of Olga Shaw as assistant coach. Shaw, nee Klimova, competed for K-State from 2004-2008 and joined the coaching staff as an assistant from 2008-13.

“Incredibly excited and fortunate to have Olga returning to our tennis program,” Smith said. “Having another person on staff that was a former player and coach for this program will be beneficial in more future success. Olga played at a high level for the Cats and helped bring in one of the best players in program history as an assistant. It’s a great addition and our players will benefit greatly from her.”

Over ten years ago Shaw recruited one of the best players in K-State history, Petra Niedermayerova (2010-14).

As a student-athlete for the Wildcats, Shaw accumulated a 31-48 singles record in four years with multiple knee injuries. In doubles competition she was 50-49 with a 20-12 record in Big 12 play.
