Ethan Lounsbury joined K-State Athletics in September of 2024 as the Director of Marketing.
In his current role, Lounsbury oversees strategy and execution related to the department's marketing automation, paid advertising, and organic marketing responsibilities for all six ticketed sports (football, volleyball, soccer, men's basketball, women's basketball, and baseball). Lounsbury drives the department’s revenue-generating marketing efforts including increasing ticket sales, analytics, as well as cultivating fan communications through social, web, microsites, email, and marketing automation campaigns.
Prior to K-State, Lounsbury was most recently at Army West Point as the Associate Director of Digital Marketing where he oversaw marketing automation and paid advertising responsibilities for seven ticketed sports. Lounsbury led the revenue-generating marketing efforts focused around ticket sales and fundraising growth. While at Army West Point, Lounsbury drove ticket sales and donation growth through marketing automation campaigns leading to multiple sellouts of the historic Army-Navy Game. The digital marketing department also won gold in multiple categories at both the 2023 and 2024 NACMA conventions. He also made stops at Brown University and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi as a Marketing Intern and Marist College as an external affairs assistant.
Lounsbury holds a Master of Business Administration degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with minors in Business Administration and Sports Management from Salve Regina University.
Lounsbury is originally from Wassaic, New York. He currently resides in Manhattan, KS.
