Lindsey DeVreugd, a five-year Wildcats rower, was announced as K-State women's rowing assistant coach by head coach Patrick Sweeney on August 21, 2024.
Last season, DeVreugd was integral to the team’s success as the stroke seat of the 3v8+. Season highlights included defeating Kansas at the Sunflower Showdown, a silver medal at the SIRA Championship, and bronze at the Sunshine State Invitational.
In her first three years on the water, DeVreugd competed in the 1v4+ and 2v4+, most notably the 1v4+ that earned a bronze medal at the 2022 Big 12 Championship.
“I’m super excited to have the opportunity to stay around K-State Rowing a bit longer. I loved being a part of this team and it positively impacted my college experience,” DeVreugd said. “I look forward to positively shaping the lives of young women on the team. Our team has gotten a lot stronger over the past few years and I can’t wait to see how they compete this season.”
DeVreugd, a native of Kansas City, Mo., was a two-time varsity letter winner, being named to the Academic All-Big 12 team all five years.
