Taishia Pryce - Women’s Track & Field
Pryce, a junior from Kingston, Jamaica, finished in first place in the women’s long jump this weekend at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. Jumping in her first meet of the outdoor season, Price was the first competitor to jump over six meters, which she did on her second attempt, before unleashing a wind-aided jump of 6.60m/21-08 (2.4) on her third attempt. Her third attempt mark of 6.60m/21-08 went on to win the ‘B’ section of the event and place her at the top of the NCAA so far this season. The Cats will compete in both the Jim Click Combined Events (Tucson, Ariz.) and Sun Angel Classic (Tempe, Ariz.) on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Zach Kokoska - Baseball
Kokoska, a sophomore from Latrobe, Pa., batted .538 (7-for-13) with two RBI, to go along with recording team-highs in runs (5) and stolen bases (2) in a 1-3 week for the Wildcats. Kokoska hit a late RBI double in a comeback attempt that fell short against Wichita State on Wednesday, going 2-for-4 in the game. He had a team-high five hits in the Cats doubleheader versus Texas Tech on Saturday, going 5-for-7 with an RBI and two runs scored. Kokoska also scored the game-tying run in the Cats 5-4 win on Sunday. K-State will face Nebraska and Missouri before traveling to Creighton for a three-game series this weekend.
Ethan Powell - Men’s Track & Field
Powell, a sophomore from Colorado Springs, Colo., set a personal best in the men’s 5,000 meters final last weekend at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. Through the first 3,000 meters, Powell was placed in the top-five of the lead pack, before making his move in the final laps. He was able to fight off competitors in the final 400 meters in his season debut in the event to place second overall in 14:38.35, which places him first in the Big 12 in the event so far this season. The Cats will compete in both the Jim Click Combined Events (Tucson, Ariz.) and Sun Angel Classic (Tempe, Ariz.) on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
Anna Turco - Tennis
Turco, a sophomore from Mondovi, Italy, won two singles and a doubles match last week as the Cats lost twice versus TCU and Texas Tech. Falling to TCU 4-2 on Friday, Turco was the first singles match to finish, as she defeated Mercedes Aristegui with ease, 6-0, 6-2, at the No. 3 position. Playing with Margot Decker, she won at No. 1 doubles against Texas Tech, defeating Lana Rush and Kennedy Bridgforth, 7-6 (3), sealing the doubles point. She also beat Bridgforth in singles later in the day. Turco is now tied for the team lead in singles with an 11-6 record. The Cats will host West Virginia and Iowa State this weekend.
