Reid Isaac - Women’s Golf
Isaac, a sophomore from Montgomery, Texas, kept up her strong play on Monday by carding a 3-over par 75 in the final round on Tuesday to finish fifth in the Bruzzy Challenge at Lantana Golf Club. She concluded the event at 4-under par 212, which was a career-best performance that bettered her previous career low 54-hole score of 1-under par 215. Isaac led the round-one charge on Monday by turning in one of the greatest single-round performances in K-State history at 6-under par 66, tying for third place in school history. K-State concluded the event in a tie for 11th place. They will compete at the Big 12 Championship starting Sunday.

Karine-Marion Job - Tennis
Job, a freshman from Lyon, France, won two singles and two doubles matches last week in K-State’s first two conference wins over West Virginia and Iowa State. At the No. 2 spot Friday versus West Virginia, Job and Ines Mesquita defeated Paula Goetz and Nicole Roc, 6-1. She won at the No. 4 spot against Anne-Sophie Courteau, 6-2, 6-1. In Sunday’s win over Iowa State, Job and Mesquita won against Maty Cancini and Annabella Bonadonna, 6-3. She later won on Court 4 against Ekaterina Repina, 6-3, 6-2. After Sunday’s match, Job leads the team in singles with a 13-6 record. Tennis will travel to Lawrence to face Kansas on Saturday.
Tejaswin Shankar - Men’s Track & Field
Shankar, a sophomore from New Delhi, India, jumped the No. 2 high jump mark in the NCAA and No. 5 mark in the world at the 40th Sun Angel Classic on Saturday, jumping 2.25m/7-04.50 to win the event. The meet marked an outdoor season debut for last year’s outdoor NCAA Champion, as he recorded the second-best jump of his career and the Big 12 lead in the event. He recorded a pair of misses at 2.15m/7-00.50, before clearing the bar on his last attempt, which ultimately won him the event. The Cats will compete in the Triton Invitational in San Diego, Calif., and the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan., this week.
Lauren Taubert - Women’s Track & Field
Taubert, a junior from Casper, Wyo., set the No. 3 mark in the NCAA and No. 5 in K-State outdoor history by scoring a personal best 5,669 points at the Jim Click Combined Events this weekend. Taubert set personal bests in four of the seven events (100 meter hurdles, high jump, long jump, 800 meters), leading to her second place finish and as the top collegian in the competition. Taubert’s score of 5,669 points also ranks No. 9 in the world this season. The Cats will compete in the Triton Invitational in San Diego, Calif., and the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan., this week.
Jordan Wicks - Baseball
Wicks, a freshman from Conway, Ark., pitched a strong game in K-State’s 9-2 win over Creighton on Saturday. Wicks struck out nine over seven innings at TD Ameritrade Park, matching a career high in both categories. The lefty earned his fourth victory of the season after scattering six hits with one walk and yielding two earned runs. He is currently first on the team in both wins (4) and innings pitched (46.1). His 2.53 ERA on the season ranks second on the squad and his 1.13 WHIP ranks third. Baseball will host Omaha on Wednesday before traveling to Austin, Texas, for a three game series against Texas this weekend.
Women’s 2v8+ boat - Rowing
The Wildcats’ 2v8+ boat earned one of the three team silver medals at the Sunshine State Invitational on Saturday at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. The 2v8+ boat, along with all other four boats, found a first place finish in preliminaries by finishing in 6:39.60, . The K-State boat made up of coxswain Allie Kleinsmith and rowers Marisa Rodriguez, Taylor Hartman, Natasha Johnson, Jordan Lund, Maya Morrow, Megan Michaelis, Rachel Haskell and Megan Chrisco placed second overall in the grand finals in 6:43.08 to earn the silver medal. Rowing will compete at Sira in Oak Ridge, Tenn., next Friday.
