Kayla Goth - Women’s Basketball
Goth, a senior from DeForest, Wis., became the 41st player in school history to reach the career 1,000-point mark in an 86-56 win on Saturday versus Oklahoma. She ended her night with 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including a 2-of-4 effort from three-point range. The 2019 Nancy Lieberman Award candidate is the fourth player in program history with 1,000 or more career points and 400 or more career assists. She registered her second double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 assists in a Wednesday night loss at Iowa State. The Cats will travel to Waco to face No. 4 Baylor on Wednesday and then come home to face Kansas next Saturday.

Mawien, a junior from West Valley City, Utah., averaged 11.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in two losses against Texas and Texas Tech last week. He registered a team-high 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting, also adding 5 rebounds in a 67-47 home loss versus Texas on Wednesday. He also collected his first career double-double in a 63-57 defeat at Texas Tech on Saturday. Mawien finished with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, which included a 10-point, 8-rebound effort after halftime. The forward has 16 career double-digit scoring performances, including six this season. K-State will host West Virginia and travel to Iowa State this week.
