- Class:
- 1972
A three-year letterman for K-State basketball, David Hall played from 1969-1972 for legendary coaches Cotton Fitzsimmons and Jack Hartman. Hall was a part of two Big 8 Championship teams during his time and left K-State holding four school single-game, season, or career records. Hall ranks third all-time in career rebounds, fourth in double-doubles and double-digit rebounding games, and sixth in rebounding average, and his 27 rebounds vs Oklahoma in 1971 still stand as a school record. Hall was K-State’s fifth-ever 1000-point scorer when he left and is one of only six 1000-point scorers to shoot 50% or better from the field in his career. He is also one of only six players to average a double-double for an entire career with 12.3 ppg and 10.1 rpg. Hall went on to be the President of the University of the Virgin Islands.
