George Maddox played tackle at Kansas State and lettered for three seasons.
He was one of 13 first team All-America selections at Kansas State, earning the honor as a senior for the 1934 season. He captained the Wildcats to a 7-2-1 mark overall that year, as K-State won the Big Six Conference championship with a 5-0 overall record.
Maddox played that year for Lynn “Pappy” Waldorf, one of the select few affiliated with Kansas State football that have been enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame.
