Lynn Hickey ranks No. 1 in winning percentage (.762) among Kansas State’s women’s basketball coaches. She is third all-time at K-State in total number of victories with an overall record of 125-39 (.762).

Each of her five teams advanced to a postseason tournament and she coached the Wildcats to the Elite Eight of the 1982 NCAA Tournament and the Sweet 16 in 1983 and 1984. Her 1982 team was ranked No. 14 to end season, while 1983 team was No. 17 and 1984 team was No. 7. 

The Wildcats won Big Eight Conference titles in 1983 and 1984 and she also led K-State to a Big Eight Tournament championship in 1984.She coached K-State Hall of Famer and Kodak All-American Priscilla Gary as well as four of K-State top-10 all-time scorers (Eileen Feeney, Tammy Romstad, Gayla Williams and Cassandra Jones). After K-State, she became the Director of Athletics at Texas-San Antonio.
