K-State Athletics Hall of Fame

Porky Morgan
- Induction:
- 1995
Throughout his long career as one of the pioneers in the field of sports medicine, Porky Morgan had as much stock in the continued success of athletics at Kansas State University as any athlete or team alone.
Morgan came to K-State in 1951 as the school's head trainer, a position he would hold for the rest of his life. Along the way, he would become not only one of the greatest sports institutions in the history of the university, but gain national fame for his expertise. Morgan was a member of the National Association of Athletic Trainers.
Every year a K-State athlete receives the "Porky Morgan Most Inspirational Player" award, the highest honor bestowed upon a Wildcat.
