WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Frank Richards had 20 points and seven assists asKansas State beat Wichita State 79-66 Saturday night.
Richards was one of five Wildcats to score in double digits. Gilson DeJesusscored 18 points for Kansas State, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range. TimEllis added 15 points and Matt Siebrandt scored 14. Pervis Pasco had 12 pointsand 10 rebounds.
The Wildcats (4-4) shot 56.7 percent (29-51) from the field, including 8 of12 3-pointers. Kansas State never trailed and led 44-31 at halftime.
Wichita State (3-3) was led by Randy Burns with 25 points. Paul Miller added12 points for the Shockers.
Kansas State held Wichita State's Jamar Howard, who came into the gameaveraging a team-best 16 points, to just five points. Howard was scoreless inthe first half and fouled out with just under 46 seconds left.
