BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Jenny Roulier had 25 points for No. 11 Colorado, whichtook a 10-0 lead and beat 12th-ranked Kansas State 79-58 Saturday night for its10th victory in 12 games.
Colorado (20-8, 10-5 Big 12), which also got 14 points from Eisha Bohman,extended its lead to 22-5 as the Wildcats repeatedly missed shots in the firsthalf. Kansas State (22-6, 10-5) was 4-of-26 in the half with 11 turnovers, andfinished with 22.
Laurie Koehn had 23 points, including five 3-pointers, and Kendra Weckeradded 14 points for the Wildcats. They trailed 40-12 at halftime after a late13-2 run by the Buffs.
Roulier had 13 points in the first half and Bohman 12.
Kansas State showed more life in the second half, scoring more points in thefirst five minutes (16) than in the entire first half. The Wildcats' shootingpercentage was 35.8 in the second half compared after a dismal 15.4 percent inthe opening 20 minutes.
But the Wildcats could not crack the Buffs' defense, and trailed by as manyas 29 points. Mandy Nightingale, averaging 13.4 points a game for Kansas State,was held to just one point in the first half and six for the game.
