MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - If Laurie Koehn's ankle was bothering her, she sure didn't show it Sunday.
The 3-point specialist, who made her first start after missing two games with an ankle injury, broke a school record with 10 3-pointers to lead No. 4 Kansas State past Iowa 103-60 in the Big 12/Big Ten challenge.
Koehn finished with a career-high 33 points.
"She was on and she was feeling it," Iowa coach Lisa Bluder. "It really was a beautiful thing to watch. But I would've rather watched it on television than in person."
Koehn also made eight 3-pointers in the opening half to break her record of six in a half. She was 10-of-13 from long range and hit three from NBA range and beyond. One was from as far as 25 feet.
"I usually don't even know where I'm at on the court," Koehn said. "We just ran our offense, and we had open looks."
Koehn led the way with 25 first-half points. The Wildcats (13-1) took a 19-point halftime lead and never trailed to win their eighth straight and their 13th straight at home.
"She was her usual self," forward Kendra Wecker said. "She doesn't even have to be open to knock them down. She had a hand in her face on some of them. It's just fun to watch her. When she makes seven or eight, just get her the ball and let her do what she does best."
The Wildcats went on an 8-0 run to open the second half and Iowa (8-3) never recovered.
Kansas State made 15 3-pointers as a team to tie the school record set against Western Michigan in 2000.
Nicole Ohlde made all nine of her shots from the floor and finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds for Kansas State. Kendra Wecker scored 20, and Megan Mahoney added 19 for Kansas State.
"I thought we played at a very high level," Kansas State coach Deb Patterson said. "When we're playing at our best, we are without a doubt one of the best in the game."
Kristi Faulkner had 20 points, and Jennie Lillis 19 for Iowa.
Koehn made three straight 3-pointers to open the game and Kansas State quickly took a 14-3 lead.
"It was just really fun," Mahoney said. "We came out intense and Laurie broke it open. We just fed off her."
The Wildcats made their first six shots and shot 68 percent from the floor in the first half. Iowa trimmed the lead to eight, but Kansas State ended the half on an 11-2 run.
