Hart Hits Game-Winning 3-Pointer, as K-State Survives Gardner-Webb, 68-65

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- Jarrett Hart took a late charge and then hit a 3-pointer with one-tenth of a second left to give Kansas State a 68-65 win over Gardner-Webb on Saturday night.
Hart's 14 points led the Wildcats, who held off a second-half rally to earn their first 3-0 start in five years.
The Bulldogs (1-3) trailed 39-26 at the break but opened the second half with a 10-0 run and continued to gain ground on
Hart hit a free throw with
Marques Hayden hit the front end of a two-shot foul with 1:39 left to tie it at 65, and the Wildcats got the ball back for their game-winning possession when Hart took a charge from Andre Manning with 16 seconds remaining.
Tim Ellis had 13 points and Dez Willingham scored 10 for
Chris Gash led Gardner-Webb with 16 points. Brian Bender added 12 points and Chris Wiggins scored 11 for the Bulldogs, who were 9-for-32 from 3-point range.
