Wildcats Waltz Past Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Megan Mahoney had a career high 23 points and 11 rebounds and NicoleOhlde added 17 points as No. 5 Kansas State beat Colorado 67-59 on Saturdaynight in front of 6,728 fans at the Coors Events Center.
Mahoney was 10-for-14 from the field en route to her fourth straightdouble-double. Ohlde, who scored seven points in the final minute, also had a season-high 17 rebounds for Kansas State (27-2, 14-1 Big 12).
It was Kansas State's ninth straight victory and first victory in Boulder since 2000. The Wildcats beat Colorado 61-36 on Jan. 11 in Manhattan.
Tera Bjorklund had 24 points, 20 in the second half, and seven rebounds forColorado (20-6, 10-5). Sabrina Scott had 14 points, including 2-of-5 onthree-pointers.
Kansas State broke it open seven minutes into the second half when LaurieKoehn hit two straight three-pointers and Mahoney added a third to put the Wildcatsahead 42-33.
Colorado narrowed the lead to 56-53 on Veronica Johns-Richardson's three-pointerwith 3:44 remaining
After Ohlde's driving layup made it 62-57, Bjorklund cut it to 62-59 with 41seconds left. Ohlde responded with a three-point play and hit two free throws with14 seconds left to seal the victory.
