The eighth-ranked Wildcats finished the 2002-03 year 29-5 overall and 14-2 in the Big 12 and set school records for overall and conference victories.
Already the most honored player in Kansas State women's basketball history, Ohlde was named the Big 12 Player of the Year and first team All-Big 12, repeated as a Verizon Academic All-District selection, and was a finalist for the Wade Trophy Player of the Year and the Naismith Player of the Year awards.
The Clay Center, Kan., native, is the first Kansas State's women's basketball player to be nominated for the Honda Award. The winner of the basketball Honda Award will become a nominee for the Honda-Broderick Cup, which is awarded annually to the nation's outstanding collegiate woman athlete of the year.
In honor of this selection, the Honda Awards Program will donate $1,000 to the women's athletic fund of Kansas State University.
