MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State vs. Fresno State football game scheduled for Sept. 11 at KSU Stadium has been selected by Fox Sports Net for a national cable system telecast, K-State Department of Athletics and Big 12 Conference officials announced Monday.
The game, originally scheduled for a 6:10 p.m. kick, will now start at 11 a.m. (CDT) in order to accommodate the telecast.
“We are very pleased that Fox Sports Net and the Big 12 Conference responded so positively to our inquiries about televising this potential top-20, intersectional match-up featuring two outstanding programs as well as one of the nation's leading Heisman Trophy candidates,” said K-State Athletics Director Tim Weiser.
The Fresno State game will mark Kansas State’s 26th appearance on Fox Sports Net since the formation of the Big 12 in 1996 and the Wildcats’ 14th national broadcasts on the network. K-State made two appearances on FSN during the 2003 season, vs. Marshall on Sept. 20 and at Oklahoma State on Oct. 11.
