
MANHATTAN, Kan. Kimberly Dietz scored 18 points and Kansas State shot over 50 percent for the third-straight game as the Wildcats routed Delaware State, 78-30, at Bramlage Coliseum Wednesday night.
The Wildcats (4-0) connected on 29 of their 57 shot attempts and shot 55.2 percent in the second half as they cruised to their fourth consecutive victory.
Kansas State’s defense held Delaware State (3-1) to just 12 first half points on 4-of-25 shooting. The Hornets shot 22.9 percent for the game and turned the ball over 21 times leading to 27 Kansas State points.
Marlies Gipson and Twiggy McIntyre joined Dietz as the other Wildcats in double figures with 11 each. Gipson led K-State with a team-high five rebounds as the Wildcats once again won the battle of the boards, 44-24.
The Wildcats host Houston, Saint Joseph’s and Texas-Pan American for the Commerce Bank Wildcat Classic on Dec. 2-3 at Bramlage Coliseum. K-State will take on UTPA at 5 p.m., while Houston and Saint Joe’s tip-off at 3 p.m.
