K-State Falls to Nebraska, 57-42

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- Aleks Maric scored 15 points and had a career-high 17 rebounds, leading Nebraska to a 57-42 win over Kansas State on Wednesday night.
It was the lowest-scoring men's game ever played at Bramlage Coliseum, which opened in November 1988.

The Cornhuskers, who led 24-20 at the break behind 11 points and 13 rebounds from Maric, opened the second half with a 19-2 run. Nebraska held Kansas State without a field goal for more than 11 minutes in the late first half and the first 9:48 of the second.
A late 10-2 run, capped by Cartier Martins free throws with 3:01 to go, got the Wildcats within 54-42. But they did not score again.

McCray lay on his back for several minutes, grimacing in pain, and had to be helped to the locker room.
The Wildcats were 1-of-11 from the field in the first 13 minutes, their lone basket coming on Harris jumper in the paint two minutes into the game.
But after Martin hit a 3-pointer with 2:25 to go in the half, the Wildcats didnt make another field goal until Schyler Thomas made a 3-pointer with 10:12 left in the game.
